Apple has announced the departure of Carol Surface from her role as Chief People Officer after less than two years with the company according to a report from Bloomberg. Surface joined Apple in March 2023 and was one of the few executives to report directly to CEO Tim Cook marking a significant position within the Cupertino-based tech giant.

Her relatively short tenure as a senior executive at Apple is notable as the company typically maintains longer durations for its top leadership positions. Surface's role was unique as it was the first time the title of Chief People Officer was created at Apple.
